After the go ahead double, the lone highlight for Addison Russell's Cub career was getting hit in the face by Adrian Houser in late 2019 during a fruitless pennant race

Imma Cubs fan returning here after the Nats won the World Series. Feels good right Nats fans? All the pain and jokes of chokers and how you'll never win. And now they've won!
Maybe though just maybe, Nationals park is somehow cursed for the Nats though... all the other heartbreaking playoff losses came at home and even in the World Series they did all the damage on the road lol

At 3:20 there are two outs, and the batter is facing an 0-2 count. The inning still has 17+ minutes remaining :-).

Even though the Indians World Series was the greatest moment ever for me as a Cubs fan, this series was probably the most brutal to watch overall. This Game 5 was absolutely the most intense game I've seen as an overall postseason Cub game. Only the intensity of the end of Game 7 in the WS was worse to watch as a fan (because until the 8th inning, it wasn't that bad). This 5th inning was wild and all against Scherzer with two outs!

This is the last Cubs playoff series win we will see for quite some time. (2017) Their era is really over

Max choked here and he bailed on the Tigers saying was out of gas because he did not want to face Papi.

And this is why, say what you want about Dusty, you can't really blame this game on him. Scherzer retired the first 2 guys, and was a strike away from a 1-2-3 inning. And Max is their best pitcher, and you'd want him out there. And then an infield single, a bloop single, and a double put the Nats behind again. And a strikeout that is passed ball on Wieters, and then a throwing error leads to another run. Controversial because Baez's bat did hit Wieters in the head. And then catcher's interference on Wieters, and then a HBP scoring another run. Can't really blame Dusty for that.

But the Nats did, and now they're almost to the point of possibly rebuilding now, as they are nowhere close to making the playoffs.
