Would it be possible now that you found out about the burning part of it could you possibly use it as an aid to start a fire in a survival situation with a sparker?

Question: Can the cured proto putty work as an eraser as well?
    Just curious.

I love this video, and your proto putty recipe has already come in very handy, I especially impressed my dad by making some to fill large gap in the bottom of his tent trailer where wood had rotted away.

However I feel you failed to test its heat resistance in this video... yes you proved it can burn, but how well does it hold up against lower heat levels? Specifically I am thinking it may make a great "handle" for some metal frying pans I have that have bare metal handles... i have been thinking about making a proto putty "sleeve" or "grip" for these pans, as i use them while camping and don't carry oven mitts

I used proto putty as a cheap way to get a mould of a pumpkin. I wanted to make a resin pumpkin but platinum silicone is so much more expensive than proto-putty. But I did replace the corn starch with talcum powder to make sure it doesn’t rot or get eaten while I store it in my shed.

What would happen to Proto-Putty if it were placed in your vacuum jar, pulling a vacuum before it has cured and leaving it under vacuum till its cured? will it expand? will it cure? will it expand, cure and remain expanded after its cured?
