  • How to start a large siphon using 2" PVC tubing that can transfer 50-100 gallons per minute depending on height of water level. This can work with much larger diameter pipe or tubing but requires valves for tube filling.

My crawl space is flooded (failed sump I guess) and frozen.. was thinking I could do something like this to more easily siphon the entire crawlspace out when it thaws. It's like 3-4 feet deep of water. I would need the exit to be lower than the entrance for this to work?

Instead of U, get yourself a ME and you can siphon 50$/min.
