This was quite possibly the most dominant single game performance ever. I was in disbelief watching this game. That 4 year stretch for Pedro was without a doubt the greatest any pitcher has ever had

I think Pedro is top 5 ever, because of how dominant he was in the steroid era

Can spot a 96-97 mph fastball...with movement, anywhere he wanted..change up that looked like a yo-yo...oh, and can throw the breaking ball for strikes whenever he felt bored. I mean what the hell..

The most remarkable thing about Pedro was that he was the most dominant pitcher of the modern era precisely when everyone he was pitching against was 'roided up to their eyeballs. Dude was 5'10" and 160lbs and still put them down.

I recall Tim McCarver saying that this was the most dominating performance in Yankee Stadium, even more than David Cone's perfect game. Pedro is one of the best to ever play the game hands down.

Not one of those pitches was hittable. Usually you'll see some strikeouts over the middle of the plate that the hitter just flat out misses and the pitcher gets away with it. But Pedro in this game literally painted the outside edge of the plate on every strikout. Unhitable. What a pitcher.

This man was the Michael Jordan of baseball. He never cracked, and he absolutely destroyed lineups....consistently.

I was at this game, after living on the west coast for years and not paying much attention to baseball. I'd never heard of Pedro Martinez, and he just proceeded to blow everyone away, I couldn't believe it. I was a fan from that moment.

Best pitcher that ever lived. Just when you think he's coming at you with the heat, nope...off speed pitch. Nobody had movement on the ball like Petey.
