    Next time wear a mask because there is aluminum in those belts on the sander and also the copper dust. Both are horrendous for your lungs

    you will need some sort of flux to get rid of the porosity. That will protect it from the oxygen in the atmosphere. Not sure what though. Same thing happens when welding steel and other metals. If not protected by a gas or flux in a molten state it gets filled with holes.

    you should try casting a copper mirror ; like just a straight up square of copper and try and make a mirror. i know you may not read this part, but LOVE THE VIDS

    chemical reactions between the sand, foam and oxygen cause the bubbles, the best way to solve this problem is by using a vacuum cast
