Tomato Rice & Yam Fry ! No Onion No Garlic!Traditional! Tasty!

  • This video shows how to make a traditional home style no onion no garlic south Indian lunch. The recipes are yam fry and Tomato rice.
    It is simple and healthy too.
    Yam /Suran /Chenaikizhangu 250 gm(peeled & chopped)
    salt to taste
    Turmeric powder a pinch
    Oil 1 Tsp
    Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
    urad dal 1/2 tsp
    Dry red chilli 1
    Hing a pinch
    Curry leaves a few
    Coconut Grated 1 tbsp(optional)

    Tomato Rice
    Coriander seeds 2 Tsp
    Urad dal 1 Tsp
    Channa dal 1 tsp
    Dry red chilli 2
    Tomatoes 3-4
    Oil 1 tbsp
    Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
    Urad dal 1/2 tsp
    Curry leaves a few
    Green chilli 1
    Peanuts 1 tsp
    Turmeric powder a pinch
    salt to taste
    Hing/asafoetida a pinch
    Cooked rice 1 cup

    v nice - thanks - few years back - one hotel served bhindi/pyas which i took for almost 5 days - daily - but - i am unable to find such recipe - can you suggest - it was in madhya pradesh and vvvv tasty !!
