Today we're testing a viral video and seeing if you really can remove the aluminum surrounding the thin film inside a soda can.

This idea was actually originally done by our friend Nurd Rage. See his video here:

I went to school for cosmetology at a point in time and we watched a video. Not sure what iy was called(hair? Maybe) but they put a can in hair relaxer, which is used to straighten curly hair. I think this seems to be same ingredients.

Actually for the tapping soda can u need to use ur nails and tap it for about 15 seconds.
It will supposedly bring the bubbles up to the top so that the carbonation doesn't bring the drink with it. So.......try it (it works everytime for me)

What If you freeze the cans? Maybe the delay in heat will allow the chemical to eat the aluminum

UK canning factories actually use a thicker pet plastic that takes less damage from acids and is more structurally efficient so if the original video is from the uk that may be the reason it held up better including that the solution they used may of been less concentrated

Tap the sides of the can instead of the top because the carbonation bubbles gather on the side of the can. You should do a comparison with that lol.
