    Just a tip. Wear gloves at all steps of this process. It will stain your hands and it does not come off easily.

    You can harden the nib of the feather by baking sand at 250 for half an hour then curing the tip of feather in the hot sand after carving. This will keep the shaft from splitting and give it some flexibility while writing too. Let it cool completely before using, obviously. Awesome video!
