  • A Great Day in Hollywood is inspired by “A Great Day in Harlem” - A moment that captured the spirit of New York City, the center of the jazz world, in 1958 at a time that was considered the “golden age of jazz.”Netflix is bringing that feeling back with a Great Day in Hollywood, representing a moment in time within Hollywood where Black people are getting more opportunities across the industry.A true coming out celebration.SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/29qBUt7About Netflix:Netflix is the world's leading internet entertainment service with 130 million memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. It makes me sick that some people have only clicked on this video to spread hate. Yes, all the people in the video are black and I think it's beautiful. The main negative argument ( other than just blatant racism)seemse that 'there are other minority groups that need to be represented' which I agree with, but this specific video is promoting strong black leads which you should all embrace. It makes me so angry to think that there are still (and probably always will be) people in the world who look at someone, see that the colour of their skin is different to their own and view them in a negative light.

Love how everyone is talking about Lucas and Stranger Things in the comments and not about the message he's trying to get across

As a 22 year old black woman who grew up in an extremely white city, went to mostly white schools, and grew up watching only white people in major inspiring and dynamic roles; this means a lot.

Can I just say... black people wanna be more recognized.
"hey but black people are all over the media."
    we just wanna be strong.
and acknowledge that we are strong.
so can y'all stop being so rude about this.
we are making a stand and showing how strong we are.
and how far we have come... but not really.
but we are just trying to make a stand.
    that's all i'm tryna say.
don't come at me cus you're mad that you don't see anyone of your race on television.
take a stand. do something about it then.
    please don't come at me.
if you wanna talk about this. do it peacefully.
don't come at me with hate.
    tell me what y'all think.
    or something.
i'm just tryna stand up for my race.

I’m so sick of people coming on these kinds of post just to spread negativity. If you don’t have anything nice to say, keep your hands of your keyboard.

Thinking While Stoned - Thought #16:
I’ve never understood why we’re called black when we literally have every shade of skin color...🤔
