  • Strong current off Sandy Beach in Vieux-Fort did not
prevent Cameron Bellamy from making history, completing the
    LONGEST channel swim EVER.
He completed the 150km, 56 hour swim from Barbados to
St. Lucia on Sunday September 15th at about 4:43pm. Cameron left Barbados on Friday September 13th at 8:30am.
Landfall was expected at Sandy Beach but the strong current
blew him off course and forced a landing just past the
Moule-a-Chique peninsula, the southernmost point in St Lucia.
