i was super excited for this before, but watching the trailer, i’m kinda disappointed. the story seems interesting but the animation is so unpleasant to look at, and i would expect more from a studio like this. it would look soooo much better hand drawn

At some points the animation looks beautiful, but at other times it looks a bit wonky. Still looks worth checking out though.

I was expecting Avatar, Korra, and Voltron Legendary Defender style animation. Looks more like RWBY's animation style instead.
It'll do I guess.... Seriously add more frames though. What am I watching here? A stop motion cartoon??

RWBY veteran here. The switch from 2d animation to 3d-ish can be an eyesore at first but trust me you'll get used to it within the first episodes (assuming the story is interesting).
That being said the current platform for RWBY is called "Maya" and it's just so good looking compared to this? I'd say the frame-rate is the biggest issue here, along with the weird design, it's like a 3d that wants to be a 2d, I don't know. I'd say it looks a bit like the RWBY animation from when they were on a low budget and used "Poser" instead of "Maya", but with a far lower frame rate.
Generally it's far less fluid and defined than RWBY Volume 4/5 and it should be improved a bit imo.

This could be so dope, but the animation kills it for me. I’m still going to watch it for the story because based off this trailer alone, it does seem interesting. But again, this CG type animation always ruins shows, such as the new Berserk and Ajin as they always have good plots, lore, etc but the big thing about animated shows is ANIMATION. If the animation isn’t up to par then it throws everything else off. Nonetheless, I am still excited to watch this and hope the story will make up for the animation.

I got used to RWBY, I can get used to this. I would be a lot more excited for it if it were hand-drawn but...AVATAR AVATAR AVATAR AVATAR GOOOODD I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SHOWWW

The animation kinda sucks, I was really expecting a classic animation cartoon, or something on the style of Final Space that just came out. Still hyped tough.

I'll so try this just because it's from the headwriter of Avatar: The Last Airbender (one of the best shows from my childhood).
