Imagine being so ignorant of the baseball codes. History is 10x more important to baseball than any other sport IN AMERICA. You never FUCKING DISRESPECT A PITCHER UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. PERIOD! LET PLAYERS HANDLE THEIR OWN DISPUTES. THE GAME HAS TURNED INTO PUSSY BALL. BASEBALL IS MEANT TO BE A 1-1 GAME IN THE 9TH INNING WITH NO HOMERS. KIDS WHO GREW UP IN CENTER FIELD PLAYING VIDEO GAMES AND NOT HAVING THEIR DADDY'S TECAHING THEM THE BASEBALL CODES HAS RUINED THE GAME. SPOKEN BY A 80+ MAN WHEN REAL MEN PLAYED THE GAME. WHEN YOU COULD THROW AT A HITTER'S HEAD WHO DISREPECTED YOU AND RECEIVE ZERO REPRIMAND, BUT KNOWING THAT IF YOU DID, YOU WOULD LIKELY GET THE SAME TREATMENT AS THERE WAS NO PUSSY DESIGNATED HITTER.

Some of  you pussies should have seen how baseball was played in the 50's when I was a kid. The baseball codes are a VITAL part of baseball history. You show respect to the pitcher AT ALL times. If you don't, you deserve to get hit. Back then umps and the MLB upper brass did NOTHING. They let the players control their own game, as they should now. Baseball, as an American sport, relies more on its history and its traditions 5x more than basketball and the NFL. Just as Dale Murphy threw punches after a game at his best friend, Dan Glavine, for not hitting him after one of his teammates violated the baseball codes, if you do not hit someone for dishonoring a pitcher, you are disrespecting Micky Mantle, Bob Gibson, Ty Cobb, Cy Young and the all the players that went before you by ignoring the codes. Today's baseball fan has no sense of the game and its illustrious history because instead of their dad's teaching them the game and the codes, they were sent to center field to play video games.

I see grown men getting paid tons of money getting pissed off at little celebrations. Who gives a fuck? They did something worth celebrating for a few seconds. Quit being a pussy

I got a question? I don't watch baseball, only the highlights on ESPN. My question is " What is the unwritten rule?"

There are so many things that “you just don’t do in baseball” it’s a wonder any games ever get played. Must be so frustrating as a player to have to think okay there is one out top of the 6th we’re up 3-1 with one runner on during the vernal equinox with a 9 mph wind out of the northwest and Kanye is dropping his new album Tomorrow... nope, not allowed to bunt in this situation 🤦🏽‍♂️

Good lord those announcers, "to boost your self esteem by getting another hit and getting your average up," That's not self esteem, that's baseball.

There are too many unwritten rules in baseball, and there all dumb. That’s why the NFL is king.

Why do pitchers get so worked up over a guy taking his time watching his own HR and maybe flipping his bat? I never got that. When pitchers strike a guy out they'll fist pump or yell...I don't get it - let the guy enjoy his homer.

The only unwritten rule there should be is pitching around a batter. Come on your not supposed to celebrate when you hit the tying run the go ahead run a grand slam or the homerun that wins the game fucking crybabies. Your competing.. these guys in any sport are all competitors you play to win why else play what do you become robots with no emotion and just play. They all need to just relax and stop being baby's you don't like it hit more homeruns than the other team. I personally like showboating in sports it's fun it's funny and interesting it should be allowed they act like somebody borrowed money and the guy dipped and after a year they ran into them and having a confrontation about it .....STUPID

It's called playing with class, sure you can play without it, but no one likes it. You might end up on a team with those other players, then what would the locker room feel like.

Most of these fucking unwritten rules is about not getting the pitcher offended... Pitchers are 5 year olds confirmed

"youre gonna go ahead and just bunt to get your numbers up" as opposed to not bunting and getting their numbers up?
