Continuing the "Mealstrom" curse of my past (see the 5 WDW Remnants video), it seems I accidentally said "Anna" instead of Elsa when talking about a particular effect...forgive the blunder. If it makes you feel any better I have it correct in the script, and am more than aware which sister is which :)

Unpopular opinion: Frozen Ever After is way better than Maelstrom ever was.
It was incredibly short and unfocused; completely upstaged by everything in classic Future World at the time. There are countless hills to die on in EPCOT's history, but Maelstrom simply should not be one of them.
I went into my Frozen Ever After ride expecting the worst, but it's adorable and well done given the space available.I enjoyed it about 1000x more than I thought I would. So while obligatory movie tie-ins suck, this is one that actually succeeded.

Now fix the Mexico ride so it fulfills the promise of its first 30 seconds.

It does suck we didn't get Israel in the World Showcase. Maybe one day.

There was a Tesla coil in Maelstrom?! So sad I'll never get to see that.

EPCOT went from the best of the parks at the release of Test Track to the second worst. Since the Living Seas they've only been gutting science and cultural attractions to shoe-horn in childbait for extra cash.

I really wish I could've gone on Maelstrom. Though the last time I visited Disney World was before Frozen, I sadly don't remember much of EPCOT including the Norway Pavilion.

You are not the first to pass this way, nor shall you be the last. Elsa: guess you're the last

I remember riding this ride in 2011 and being totally confused when I reached the oil rig scene. I rode the frozen last week, way to go Disney 😂

(sorry im like binging all ur videos lol) it really is still such a shame. i understand that frozen hatred can be blind at times, but i completely understand being upset about this. It feels pretty insensitive to the culture. Maelstrom was ALL about norway and its culture whereas frozen is a movie with vague norweigan themes but it makes a ton of money so... Goodbye Maelstrom. smh

Turns out, according to this video, I rode Maelstrom on it's last day of operation without even knowing it.

The character test wasn't in Norway, it was at Magic Kingdom's Fairytale Hall. Once the attraction opened, the characters were moved to their own meet n greet near the pavillion.

the fact that people from Norway thought it'd be cool to represent their country to Americans with a couple of trolls makes me wonder if that's the equivalent of an American representing our country to another country with a couple of sasquatches.

"To all who come to this happy place, welcome." Is that how he said it?

    You know who "he" is.
