  • With the release of "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" on Netflix, now is the perfect time to revisit Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's journey in AMC's critically acclaimed series, "Breaking Bad". But perhaps its most hated episode "Fly" might be the greatest bottle episode to come out of the show. Here's why an episode about nothing is in fact, about everything.

Walt was hell bent on killing that fly coz he didn't want contamination, the same way he later killed Gus, Mike and jailed guys coz he didn't want to even take a chance, those guys (like the fly) were contamination in Walt's world.

That's my understanding of that episode.

Great video, but everyone is always talking about how Walt hurt Jesse. Let’s get one thing clear, besides Brock, most of the reason they were ever in the shits was because Jesse fucked up, and Walt had to clean up. Jesse was too emotional (Going for the dealers that killed Tomas) etc.

I think people just got use to a lot more shit happening in previous episodes. This show was always plagued by writers strike, & low budgets, but they always did the best with what they had. But ordinary viewers don’t care much for the behind the scenes details. I enjoyed the ep with just Jessie & Walt.

Glad I'm not the only one. I remember trying to explain to my friend why this was the most important episode in the series to me, but he didn't get it.

Personally I loved the episode. And Vince never did filler. Every episode fit into the narrative somehow. Even if it didn’t seem to at the time.
